If you are not from Arizona, the idea that the home is close to the freeway may make you wonder if it is noisy. While searching for your perfect, quiet serene Scottsdale vacation home, the map doesn't always tell the whole story. When this portion of the Loop 101 was built, it was part of a pilot program, which installed a 1 inch think rubber/asphalt layer over the concrete to help mitigate noise. Next they installed a thick textured acoustic wall which absorbs, blocks and bounces the sound over Villa Lamar. That means being within 100 feet of the wall is actually one of the quietest places to be! We live about a mile from the Loop 101, and the noise at our home is significantly louder than it was, right next to the wall at Villa Lamar! Second bedroom has a Queen suite from Copenhagen with plush Euromattress. There are also two additional twin roll away beds with box springs. There is high speed internet througout, flat screen TVs throughout plus a large two car garage.
