- Property Description In the middle of it all, yet away from it all... Elk Meadow Cottage is the best of both worlds. Our house is just 5 miles off of I-40 and bordered on 3 sides by the Kaibab National Forest, giving you privacy, peace, and quiet. Yet, it is also conveniently located just 20 minutes from Flagstaff and Williams/Polar Express, an hour from the Grand Canyon, and an hour from Sedona! There is so much to do and see in Northern Arizona and Elk Meadow Cottage is the perfect home base for your adventures.
- Our Cottage is nicely furnished, has new, top quality linens, and is kept in immaculate condition. The master bedroom features a king bed and private bath with jetted soaking tub. Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms plus a 2nd full bath. Kids love sleeping and playing in the inviting loft space.
- Perfect location for your base camp for all the attractions and natural wonders that Northern Arizona has to offer. Access to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Slide Rock Park, Polar Express & North Pole Experience, Grand Canyon Railway, 5 area fishing lakes, and several golf courses.
- Relax by the fireplace with a book or enjoy one of the many family friendly movies and games provided. BBQ and dine on the deck under the pines. Cool, fresh, pine scented mountain air in this wooded setting in the Kaibab Nat'l Forest at 7500 ft. The home is located in an area known for wildlife viewing, views of the San Francisco peaks, and access to miles and miles of hiking / biking / cross country skiing trails.

- Bedrooms Master: 1 king Queen Sized Air Mattress: 1 sleep sofa /futon Can be comfortably put in several places in the Cottage.
- Game Room: 1 sleep sofa /futon Queen futon with a super comfy, ultra plush mattress topper.
- Pack N Play (1) & Toddler Travel Bed (1): 2 child bed Both include sheets and can be placed in any room.
- The Red Bedroom: 1 queen
- Bunk Bed Room: 1 bunk bed Our bunk bed has a twin on top and a full on the bottom.
- Twins/King Room: 2 twin/ single The twins can be pushed together and made up as a king.
- Elk Meadow Cottage has 4 bedrooms, which can comfortably sleep 8+ people. In addition, the Game Room has a queen sized futon. We also have a queen sized air mattress, which can comfortably be placed several places in the Cottage. There is a Pack N Play & a Toddler Travel Mattress (with sheets) available for our little guests :-)
- Bathrooms Master Bath (downstairs): toilet, jetted tub, shower
- Upstairs Bathroom: toilet, combination tub/shower Oversized bathroom
- All bathrooms linens (bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths) are provided. Bathrooms are stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner.
- Kitchen Kitchen: Beautiful kitchen. Granite counter tops, newer appliances. Fully stocked with pots, pans, a slow cooker, air popper, prep bowls, measuring cups... Everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal :-) Dining: The dining room table seats 6, but there are also 4 seats at the kitchen counter nearby. We have a baby booster seat with straps available for babies and 2 toddler/kid booster seats. Pantry Items: Pantry is stocked with the essentials including flour, sugar, baking powder, & cooking spray. We also supply iced tea, hot tea, & coffee K-Cups for our guests. Coffee Maker: New Keurig Coffee Maker with K-Cups included! We also have a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker. Dishes & Utensils: More than enough dishes and utensils :-) Dining Area Seats: 6, Child's Highchair, Toaster, Refrigerator, Microwave, Dishwasher, Stove, Oven
- General Washing Machine: Since water conservation is so important in our neck of the woods, we ask that our guests not bring laundry from home, to do. However, the washing machine is certainly available if you need it. Fireplace: We have a gorgeous wood stove, in our fire place. It makes such wonderful warmth and ambiance in our great room. Wood Stove: Large, pre-cut wood pile & kindling available makes it easy to enjoy a nice fire. Parking: Parking for multiple cars or an RV on our large U shaped driveway. Linens Provided: High quality linens. Everything you need. Living Room: Wonderful great room with big-screen TV. Heating: We have central heat and a wood stove. Babysitter, Clothes Dryer, Iron & Board, Hair Dryer, Towels Provided
- Other Amenities Internet: We are VERY happy to be able to offer Satellite Internet services to our guests for a nominal fee of $20 per stay. Not many homes in this area have internet services available.
- Entertainment Games: A lot of fun family games including Monopoly, Sorry, Trivial Pursuit, Yahtzee Jr., Blockus, chess, checkers, Memory, and more! We also have several puzzles :-) Toys: We have a variety of toys for younger kids... wooden trains, Mega blocks, Trio blocks, and are always adding to our collection. Video Library: Over 50 DVDs available to choose from, including a large selection of kids/family friendly DVDs. Stereo: Stereo is located in the game room, but there are speakers throughout the great room. Game Room: Small game room - off the great room - stocked with board games. Books: Library of books to share in the red bedroom upstairs. Satellite / Cable: A good variety of HD channels through Dish Network. Television: Located in the Great Room, DVD Player
- Outside Deck / Patio: Large wrap around deck covers 3 sides of the house. Outdoor Grill: Gas grill with propane tank.
- Suitability Children Welcome:
- We love having well behaved, well supervised children at our Cottage. We hope your children enjoy it here as much as ours do. We have a Pack N Play, baby gate, a baby booster seat, 2 kids booster seats, and a variety kids toys at the Cottage available to our guests. There is a special play area - 'The Loft' above one of the upstairs bedrooms that is a wonderful and fun 'kids-only' area :-). Pets Not Allowed: We're sorry! We love pets too! But, out of respect for our guests who may have allergies, we don't allow pets. Non Smoking Only: There is no smoking allowed in the house or anywhere on our property. Minimum Age Limit For Renters: All renters must be over 25 year old, except for families. Long-Term Renters Welcome
